Yesterday’s CougsFirst! Spokane Show was a moment of pride and connection for the Washington State University (WSU) alums and supporters. It was more than just a gathering—it was the perfect platform to unveil Believe in Me’s exciting new program, Cougs4Kids. CougsFirst!, a robust network promoting WSU-affiliated businesses, provides alumni and friends with a unique opportunity to “Think CougsFirst!” and support fellow Cougs. The show’s vibrant atmosphere was ideal for launching Cougs4Kids. This program that combines community impact with opportunities for student-athletes to inspire, empower, and lead.
What Is Cougs4Kids?
Cougs4Kids is a powerful program that brings student-athletes together with marginalized youth, creating opportunities for mentorship, community service, and meaningful connections. More than an NIL initiative, Cougs4Kids allows athletes to build leadership skills and personal brands while actively giving back to their community. Through this program, Believe in Me is excited to provide a 501(c)(3) structure, enabling tax-deductible contributions that benefit youth empowerment and athletic development.
This unique approach allows alums, fans, and friends to support student-athletes who are committed to making a difference in young lives. With flexible giving options, such as our Cougar Impact Society, donors can contribute to Cougs4Kids while also enjoying special athletics perks, like VIP event access and athlete meet-and-greets. Together, we’re creating a pathway for student athletes to serve as mentors and role models, building brighter futures for both the youth and the athletes involved.
