A Believe in Me initiative • Washington
Bringing gingerbread joy to youth since December 2020

Holiday joy starts with community.
Businesses can sponsor gingerbread kits, volunteer teams can help prepare and deliver them, and school liaisons and community partners can request kits for youth facing housing insecurity. Together, we make room for creativity, belonging, and a better understanding of this systemic issue.

Holiday sponsorships.
Joy with a purpose.
A gingerbread house offers room for creativity, laughter, and connection. Believe in Me brings this holiday tradition to young people facing housing insecurity through A Place to Call Home.
But the conversation should last beyond the holidays. Youth housing insecurity is a systemic community issue. Learn about support for students experiencing homelessness, then explore holiday sponsorships or bring a volunteer team.
Joy + awareness
Holiday connection: gingerbread decorating through trusted schools and community organizations.
Community understanding: clear information about youth housing insecurity and the role of McKinney-Vento liaisons.
2026 planning goal: 1,500 young people.
Your support helps us work toward that goal.
How holiday sponsorships
reach youth
Local knowledge
McKinney-Vento liaisons and trusted partners identify local needs. They also coordinate kit requests for youth facing housing insecurity.
Business generosity
Business sponsors help fund kits, supplies, delivery, and awareness. Meanwhile, volunteer teams help as roles become available.
Holiday belonging
Schools and community partners bring the activity to young people in familiar settings, with dignity and care.
Learn more about the liaison role and find a district contact in OSPI’s Homeless Education Liaison Contact List.
Small houses.
A tradition of holiday joy.

What do holiday sponsorships support?
Holiday sponsorships support gingerbread kits, decorating supplies, packing, delivery, partner coordination, and awareness. Final kit numbers depend on confirmed needs and costs. Compare sponsorship levels from $500.
Are holiday sponsorships required to volunteer?
No. Volunteering and sponsoring are separate ways to help. Tell us your location, team size, and availability. We will discuss suitable roles as plans take shape. Explore team volunteering.
Do holiday sponsorships guarantee kits or site visits?
No. We confirm kit allocations after costs and partner requests are final. Volunteer schedules and partner-site visits depend on capacity and partner requirements. See how distribution works.
Can holiday sponsorships be invoiced or customized?
Yes. Email [email protected] with your business name, preferred package or amount, and invoice needs. We can also discuss custom gifts, in-kind support, and matching challenges.
How can a school or community partner request kits?
