A PLACE TO CALL HOME • 2026 PARTNER INVITATION
Gingerbread kits.
Holiday joy.
Room to belong.
Request gingerbread kits for youth facing housing insecurity in Washington. Believe in Me invites school McKinney-Vento liaisons and community partners to bring creativity, connection, and holiday joy to the young people they serve.

Gingerbread kits with a bigger purpose.
Believe in Me has delivered gingerbread kits to youth facing housing insecurity since December 2020. A Place to Call Home combines a joyful holiday tradition with awareness of a systemic community issue.
We work with school McKinney-Vento liaisons and trusted community organizations because they understand local needs. Partners identify the youth they support and coordinate activities in familiar settings. The program offers seasonal enrichment and connection; it does not replace housing assistance or school-based support.
Who: school liaisons and youth-serving organizations in Washington.
What: gingerbread decorating at your site or through take-home kits.
When: the 2026 holiday season; dates confirmed with each partner.
2026 planning goal: 1,500 young people. This is a target, not a guaranteed allocation.
How to request gingerbread kits.
1. Tell us about each program or site
Share your organization and contact details, youth and kit estimates, activity plans, and delivery preferences. If you serve several sites, list each separately so kits reach the right place.
2. Confirm the plan with Believe in Me
Our team reviews requests and follows up about quantities, product details, and logistics. Estimates are welcome. Tell us when you can confirm your final count and whether a smaller allocation would still help.
3. Receive kits and share holiday joy
Once arrangements are confirmed, designate a receiving contact and prepare a secure storage area. Your team can host a supervised decorating activity or distribute kits for use at home.
4. Share a simple recap
After your activity, share aggregate participation and distribution counts, unused kits, and brief feedback. Optional quotes or properly permitted photographs can help tell the story without identifying anyone’s housing circumstances.
Plan your gingerbread kit delivery.
Delivery or pickup: provide a full authorized receiving address, building or room, receiving days and hours, and an on-site contact. Include access or unloading instructions and whether pickup could be an option. Routes and methods are confirmed directly.
Timing: request an arrival date before your activity and include alternate dates. Note school closures, holiday breaks, and dates when no one can receive a delivery.
Storage: tell us whether your site can receive all kits at once and store them securely. Follow product storage instructions once kit details are available.
Changes: email [email protected] promptly if your count, address, or receiving contact changes. Mention your organization and site so we can match the update.
Host an activity that works for your youth
Choose group decorating, take-home distribution, or a mix. For a group activity, plan appropriate adult supervision, work surfaces, cleanup, and any additional supplies your site needs. For take-home kits, plan a discreet handoff through your usual program channels.
Share food policies, dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, and language needs in advance. Final product contents and substitutions are not yet confirmed. Review ingredient labels and manufacturer guidance before use, and do not assume a kit is allergen-free.

Register your program for gingerbread kits.
Online registration is being prepared. The registration form will appear here once it is ready. In the meantime, gather the details below or contact [email protected] for help planning your request.
Plan a separate entry for each program or delivery site. This makes it easier to confirm quantities and avoid overlapping requests.
Your organization and contact
- Organization or school district, program/site name, and your role
- Contact name, title, email, and phone
- City and community served
Youth and gingerbread kit quantities
- Approximate youth count, age range, and a brief program-level description
- Number of kits requested, including whether kits will be shared
- When you can confirm the count and whether a partial allocation would help
- Any overlapping requests through another organization
Activity and delivery details
- Group decorating, take-home distribution, or both; planned activity date
- Authorized delivery address and preferred or alternate arrival dates
- Receiving contact, phone, days/hours, access instructions, and storage capacity
- Pickup flexibility and program-level food, accessibility, or language needs
Optional quote and permission
You may share one or two sentences about what this experience would mean to your program, with the speaker’s name and title. We will ask separately whether Believe in Me may use that quote with attribution on its website, social media, emails, and printed materials. Participation does not require publicity.
Please protect youth privacy. Submit organization-level information only. Do not include student names, birth dates, home addresses, or personal housing histories. Read our privacy policy.
A request is not a confirmed allocation. Believe in Me will confirm availability, quantities, and arrangements directly.
Gingerbread kits: partner FAQs.
Find answers about eligibility, registration, delivery logistics, youth privacy, and how school liaisons or community partners can request gingerbread kits for youth facing housing insecurity.
Who can request gingerbread kits?
School McKinney-Vento liaisons and youth-serving community organizations in Washington can express interest for youth facing housing insecurity. Believe in Me reviews partner needs and confirms participation directly. Families should connect with their school liaison or a local youth-serving organization.
How do we request gingerbread kits for multiple programs?
Provide a separate program or site entry for each delivery location. Include that site’s kit count, youth estimate, receiving contact, address, and preferred dates. Tell us if another partner is requesting kits for the same youth so we can coordinate.
Does registration guarantee gingerbread kits?
No. Registration records your request. Believe in Me will confirm availability, quantities, and delivery or pickup arrangements before plans are final. Please wait for confirmation before promising kits to families.
When will gingerbread kits arrive?
The initiative takes place during the 2026 holiday season. Share your preferred arrival date, alternatives, and activity date. Delivery windows are arranged with each partner; there is no confirmed universal delivery date or registration deadline on this page.
What is included, and are allergy-friendly kits available?
Final kit contents and product details are being confirmed. Tell us about food policies, allergies, and dietary needs at the program level. Review ingredient labels before use. Specific substitutions or allergen-free products cannot be promised.
Can gingerbread kits go home with youth?
Yes. Partners can plan a supervised group decorating activity or take-home distribution. Tell us which format you prefer and whether kits will be shared so we can understand the quantities requested.
Is there a cost or sponsorship requirement?
This is a partner kit request, not a sponsorship purchase. Final availability and any program or delivery terms will be confirmed directly before you commit. You do not need to select a business sponsorship package to express interest.
Do you need student names or proof of housing status?
Please provide organization-level information and aggregate youth counts only. Do not submit student names, birth dates, home addresses, or individual housing histories. Liaisons and trusted partners help identify the youth they serve.
Are photographs or marketing quotes required?
Quotes and photographs are optional. Quote permission must be separate from registration. Only share photographs when you have the appropriate permissions and have confirmed how they may be used. Do not identify a young person’s housing circumstances.
How do we change a request or get help?
Email [email protected] with your organization, site name, and the details that changed. Tell us promptly about revised counts, delivery contacts, or dates. Use OSPI’s liaison directory to find a school district contact.
Keep the conversation going.
Youth housing insecurity deserves attention beyond the holidays. Explore OSPI’s student homelessness resources and school district liaison directory. These resources explain where schools and families can find educational support. You can also support the 2026 A Place to Call Home campaign.
