Compliance Officer Responsibilities
- Is a member of the Believe in Me Board of Directors.
- Chair of the Compliance Committee.
- Ensure that Believe in Me functions effectively, interacts with management optimally, and fulfills all of its duties in accordance with Believe in Me’s Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, and the Foundation’s Policies and Procedures.
- Perform routine risk assessments to help the Foundation understand compliance risk, scope and significance.
- Monitor the Foundation’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws.
- Educate employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the Foundation.
- Record findings properly and follow up with management to ensure the issues are rectified.
- Review marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations .
- Assist in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organizations.
- Perform administrative tasks such as file creation and maintaining files of ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance and investigate irregularities.
