Responsibilities
- Prepare approved survey links, QR codes, response trackers, and data-entry templates
- Enter or reconcile attendance, volunteer hours, partner delivery counts, and nonfinancial event records
- Identify missing or conflicting information without changing source records
- Draft segmented thank-you messages and follow-up task lists for staff approval
- Summarize response counts, recurring feedback, and operational lessons without exposing personal information
Schedule and shifts
One week before each event through two to three weeks afterward. Expected commitment: 2–4 hours per week for three to four weeks per event. Final shifts, meetings, and check-in instructions will be confirmed before placement.
CougsFirst! schedule: Seattle Show & Career Expo: Friday, May 29, 2026 at the 505 Building in Pioneer Square; public program 2:00–7:00 p.m. and show floor 4:00–7:00 p.m. Spokane: annual Spokane show; the 2026 date, venue, and Believe in Me volunteer call time are TBD. Final volunteer shifts will be confirmed before placement.
What a typical assignment looks like
Volunteers receive approved source files and a clear data-handling checklist. They may reconcile attendance or volunteer records, remove obvious duplicates, enter survey results, prepare outcome counts, flag discrepancies, and draft personalized thank-you communications for review. They never export, share, or repurpose personal information outside the approved workflow.
Event apparel
Most of this role can be completed remotely. If you join us on site, we’ll send event-specific guidance before your shift so you know what to expect and can arrive comfortable, prepared, and easy for the team to identify.
Required qualifications
- Excellent accuracy, discretion, and follow-through
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and written procedures
- Able to maintain confidentiality and delete local working copies when directed
Preferred experience
- Data entry, CRM, survey administration, donor operations, volunteer management, or evaluation experience
- Experience with Google Sheets, Salesforce, Formstack, or similar systems
Technology and equipment
Reliable computer, secure internet connection, Google Workspace, and approved systems. Volunteers may not download data to personal devices unless explicitly authorized.
Physical and accessibility considerations
Desk-based remote role; accessible by design.
Training and support
Data-handling and privacy orientation, field definitions, source-of-truth rules, quality-control checklist, and thank-you approval process.
