Role Overview

The Volunteer Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator helps protect the systems supporting our digital programs. You will manage identities, access rights, and permissions so volunteers and users can securely reach the resources they need while sensitive information remains protected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain accurate user identities across systems.
  • Develop and enforce role-based access controls and access policies.
  • Support authentication and authorization processes.
  • Align IAM practices with relevant security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with technical teams to integrate IAM solutions into application infrastructure.
  • Resolve access issues, password resets, and other IAM-related support requests.
  • Monitor IAM systems for unusual activity and report on security and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IAM, IT security, or systems administration is preferred; motivated learners are welcome.
  • Working knowledge of identity management, access-control models, and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments or SaaS IAM solutions is a plus.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical teammates.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote volunteer team.
